Calcium stearate White powder, insoluble in water, cold ethanol and ether, soluble in organic solvents such as hot benzene, benzene and turpentine, slightly soluble in hot ethanol and ether. When heated to 400ºC, slowly decomposed, flammable, in case of strong acid decomposition into stearic acid and the corresponding calcium salt, moisture absorption.

Application
1.Widely used as a heat stabilizer in PVC rigid products, with salt-based lead salts and lead soap, it can improve the gelation speed.
2.As a halogen absorber in polypropylene and polyethylene, it can eliminate the negative effects of residual catalysts in the resin on the colour and stability of the resin.
3.Also used as a lubricant for polyolefin fibres and mouldings.
4.Used as a mould release agent, plasticizer, thickening agent for grease, waterproofing agent for textiles, smoothing agent for paint industry, etc. in rubber processing.
5.It can also be used as food additive, feed additive, cosmetics, etc.
